What is a Structural Warranty?

Whilst a Structural Warranty is often purchased by the developer before construction begins, it actually protects the homeowner from structural damage should it occur during the period following completion.
Having a Structural Warranty will help you sell your property once it is completed as the vast majority of mortgage lenders and banks require one to be in place before they will provide a mortgage on a property.
Please note that the policy is not through Survey 7 Limited, we do not have control over the areas covered within the policy. Survey 7 is not a warranty provider, instead we are the auditors who carry out the inspections on behalf of a number of warranty providers, it is those providers who set the requirements of their policies and are to be contacted should defects occur.

We do not charge the client/developer for our audits, instead we charge the warranty provider and invoice them directly. This is because each provider has their own key stages to be inspected and therefore our fees and number of audits can alter depending on the provider chosen.
